Google Gemini has a free option and several paid Google AI tiers. The US subscription page currently lists AI Plus at $4.99 a month, AI Pro at $19.99, and AI Ultra from $99.99. These are provider reference prices, separate from an AIOFFER offer.

The lowest-cost paid tier is not automatically the plan that fits your workflow. Start by listing the tasks you need to finish: chat, research, coding, video or document work. Check those tasks against the exact tier before comparing prices.

Is Gemini free, or do I need a subscription?

You can start with the free Gemini option. Test it on representative work before paying: a real document, a normal research task or an example coding question. Record where the free option stops meeting your needs. This gives you a reason to upgrade rather than choosing a paid tier only because it has a higher name.

AI Pro versus AI Ultra

Compare the specific allowance that matters to your work. An occasional long project and daily video production are different requirements. A higher tier may be unnecessary if your existing allowance is enough.

Ultra has more than one price point. An offer simply called "AI Ultra" needs clarification before purchase; do not assume every Ultra listing includes the highest allowance. Google One storage and other bundled features also need to match your account and region.
